Jharkhand
This new state, carved out of Bihar's northern regions, has 40% of India's minerals. It is one of the places in the world where Uranium is found. Jharkhand is surrounded by five states: West Bengal, Chattisgarh, Orissa, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. It is the only Indian state through which the Tropic of Cancer passes.
